One thing that feels super important to me during this time is that I’m a source of light and direction for my clients and this community. I mean – that’s why I signed up to do this work in the world anyway…and now more than ever, I’m feeling deeply called.
In the spirit of that, I’m going to get back to basics with this week’s conversation. Several of you reached out last week with questions about the objections conversation, but a lot of you also reached out to say, “I’m not even having sales calls right now, because I’m not even sure how to show up in my business or what to do.”
So that’s exactly what I share this week on the blog – how to show up each day (strategy) and how to manage your thoughts each day too (mindset), so you can continue to create results in your business right now. I also share some of the results my clients and I have created in our businesses lately, so you can see what’s still possible during a time when everything feels uncertain!
HOW TO CREATE RESULTS IN YOUR BIZ RIGHT NOW – PART 1
Mindset: Your money will only be as consistent as you are. Let that one sink in for a minute. The first time I heard this, it blew my mind. If we’re showing up inconsistently, our results are going to mirror that.
Strategy: [Don’t let the simplicity of this strategy fool you.] Consistency + visibility are mega important right now, even if that looks different than your version of this pre-COVID. Plus, I KNOW you have something valuable to contribute during this time, so we need you to show up (your business needs you to show up). Only have 30 minutes a day right now? Show up for those 30 minutes – do what you can right now.
Client Results: I’ve got some clients who have 0 minutes on most days to show up. So we’re using re-purposed content right now, so they’re still consistent and visible. And guess what? 3 of those clients who are strictly circulating old, re-purposed content made over 10K in sales in March. They figured out how to show up in a way that made sense for them. Consistency and visibility matter right now, y’all.
HOW TO CREATE RESULTS IN YOUR BIZ RIGHT NOW – PART 2
Mindset: You are enough. What you offer is enough. You have important things to share right now. Even if you’re scared or uncertain too. No need to wait, or come up with elaborate new offers or messaging. You (human) have something worthwhile to share with your audience (also humans) just as you are.
Strategy: Keep things simple. Don’t be afraid to go back to basics with your audience. Your people are filtering out anything that feels like too much or too complicated. Yes, be available to pivot and tweak your messaging and offerings so that they’re speaking to your people’s most relevant pain points right now. But don’t overcomplicate this for yourself…or for your potential clients. You may even have content in the vault that speaks exactly to what your people need right now.
Client Results: 4 clients (and myself) have booked new clients using old content that we already had that is super relevant to our current times. For example, one of those clients had previously created a super simple opt-in on how to eat healthy and work out when your kids are home. Since un-earthing this from the vault, this opt-in alone is responsible for doubling her current list and signing 2 private coaching clients! And all she had to do was tweak a few pieces of copy and share it with her audience 🔥
HOW TO CREATE RESULTS IN YOUR BIZ RIGHT NOW – PART 3
Mindset: Stop making decisions about what your people can or cannot afford right now. When has there EVER been a better time to do health or self-development work or to start a new business?! Seriously, if we can get through this and thrive, we’re set for life with mindset tools. So if you’re having a ton of your OWN objections about why people can’t work with you right now, that’s a beautiful clue to work on your money mindset ✨
Strategy: Keep giving value. Keep networking and building relationships. Keep promoting yourself. Keep pitching and making offers. Keep inviting people on sales calls. Keep selling. Keep believing in the essential value of the work you do.
Client Results: On my caseload right now, I have 6 clients whose services are mindset or spiritual-related (or what some people might view as “intangible” services). And guess what? Each and everyone of those clients are still booking clients and making sales. In fact, in the last month, I’ve booked 4 clients who hired me strictly for mindset coaching. So let this be beautiful evidence for you that people are still investing in personal development work (and I can’t think of a better time than the present to prioritize this work)!
