In the spirit of keeping things simple and high-value, I’m sharing 3 MORE quickie mindset re-sets that I’m over here using and also teaching my clients to use during this time.
While we’re all feeling a lot of different things as we navigate life and business, there’s some powerful mindset shifts that work for anyone in any situation, and that are helping my clients continue to create results and feel happy. So keep reading for more of these simple, but powerful shifts!
QUICKIE MINDSET RE-SET #4
If you’re feeling overwhelmed/afraid/discouraged, that’s your clue to come back to the present moment.
To be clear, this is not about not feeling your feelings. Permission to feel your feelings all day long. God knows I’m over here feeling all the feelings during this COVID season too. 💁🙋
But when it’s time to feel better, this is the tool to use.
Directing our thoughts and focus back to the present moment is the peaceful re-set for a lot of hard emotions. It also helps us feel more empowered FAST, because it reminds us of where we have control and to focus there instead.
QUICKIE MINDSET RE-SET #5
Let each day be what it is. Let where you’re at be okay. Listen in to what you need each day. Give yourself what you need when you need it.
Here’s the thing – I have clients making $500K year, and I have clients just starting out in business. And I’m telling them all the same thing ⬇️
Don’t expect yourself to function at the level you were before. Let that be okay. Accept where you are now. Trust yourself. And keep showing up in ways that feel good.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m helping all of my clients create and be accountable to a routine that helps them continue to grow their business right now. And I’m helping A LOT of my clients grow their businesses right now.
But we’re also building in A LOT of time for mindset work, rest, white space, self-love, play, and whatever else that particular client needs to feel good. Because we need both right now – some version of structure that keeps us moving forward and some version of non-structure, so we can listen in and give ourselves what we need in the moment.
QUICKIE MINDSET RE-SET #6
There is no one right way to do this (or anything else for that matter). There is just your way. So go easy on yourself. And talk to yourself with love.
All day long, we’re exposed to what other people are doing during this time. How they’re using their free time, how they’re staying connected, how they’re parenting, how they’re working out, etc.
While this can be good and inspiring, it can also be triggering as all hell.
The good news is you get to do this time YOUR way, no matter what that looks like. Even if you’re not mastering any new hobbies. Even if you’re gaining weight instead of losing it. Even if your parenting skills have tanked. Even if you’re not calling your family as much as you should – here’s your permission slip to go easy on yourself and to keep going.
Self-compassion and dropping expectations matter BIG TIME during this season. So less pressure and more grace right now, okay?!
