“Success is not about your circumstances, it’s about who you’re being.” ~ Jen Sincero
“We can have our excuses or we can have our success, we just can’t have both” (another Jen Sincero goodie).
And whichever one we spend more time thinking about (excuses or success) creates our reality, plain and simple. (Amen, Sister Jen!).
Reason I love this mindset so much is because it reminds us that WE are in control of whatever we have…or don’t have.
And that if we haven’t created what we want (in life or in biz), we must continue looking inside for the answer.
Because your circumstances always always always matter way less than what you’re doing/thinking/believing.
Which is actually good news, right?! It means you can literally reverse engineer anything you want, so YOU know exactly what to do to get it.
For example, if I want to lose 10 pounds (which…who doesn’t after Thanksgiving?), I need to be the kind of person who moves my body regularly and eats less cheese.
If I want to book 2 new clients in the next month, I need to be the kind of person who works my visibility and sales strategy on the regular.
Could I come up with 349 excuses of why I can’t lose 10 pounds or book 2 new clients? Yep. But then I’m just left with my excuses (and 10 pounds and 0 clients).
You get the point. So I’m over here being who I gotta be and cheering you on with this too!
And now I’d love to hear from you! What brave thing are you out there doing this week to create more success? Or what excuses have you ditched in 2018? Comment and let me know!
